Customisation, freight & taxes

All products welcome custom enquiries. This page explains how requirements and quote scope are confirmed; it is not a quotation, accepted order or offer of every shipping service.

Custom development for every product line

Every listed product accepts custom enquiries, including changes to a reference, your drawing, or a physical sample. Feasibility, materials, dimensions, tooling and testing are reviewed before sample or production approval. Catalogue references are not verified stock SKUs.

Branding, artwork, colour, packaging and size specifications must be recorded in the agreed brief. Changes after sample approval require a written review of cost and schedule.

Product lines and quantity units

Laces: flat, round, oval, patterned and other development styles. Quote in pairs or single pieces, with length, diameter/width, aglet and colour stated. A pair contains two individual laces.

Webbing and binding tapes: metres or yards. Upper straps: confirm whether the buyer means length, pieces or pairs for each project. Do not convert or compare units without agreement.

Plastic slides, flip-flops and clogs: pairs, with the size system, size breakdown, fit, material brief and tooling route confirmed. EVA, PVC, PE, PU and TPR/TPE labels are development directions; the actual compound is verified separately. Textile house slippers and cork-look constructions are outside the current catalogue.

What a quotation includes

Each written quote states product specification, quantity and unit, currency, validity, delivery rule and named place. Product cost, packaging, sample/tooling charges, inland handling, export documents, main carriage, insurance, destination charges, import clearance and taxes must be shown as included, excluded, or awaiting confirmation.

No catalogue price, free freight, free sample, fixed MOQ or guaranteed delivery time is implied. A freight estimate is not a final landed-cost quote.

Freight and delivery basis

Buyer-appointed forwarder: agree a delivery rule and named handover point; using your forwarder alone does not make a quote EXW, FCA or FOB. For FCA, export clearance is the seller’s responsibility under the agreed rule.

DAP, named destination, Incoterms® 2020: seller arranges carriage and bears risk to goods ready for unloading at the agreed destination; buyer handles import clearance, import duties/taxes and unloading. Door delivery alone does not mean duties paid.

DDP is available for review only, not a standing offer: seller bears import clearance and applicable import duties/taxes to the named destination, with delivery ready for unloading. Confirm the lawful importer/clearance arrangement and written fee scope before offering it. Do not call a service DDP while silently excluding import VAT or duties.

FOB and CIF apply to sea/inland-waterway transport, not air or courier shipments. Any quote using trade rules must name the place/port and Incoterms® 2020 version. Risk transfer and carriage cost are separate matters; insurance is itemised.

Taxes: specify which tax and who pays

Chinese domestic invoice/VAT treatment is separate from destination import duty, VAT/GST, brokerage and destination handling. “Tax included” without a country, tax type and agreed scope is insufficient. Do not assume foreign tax can be reclaimed by the buyer.

Country, city/postcode where applicable, product composition, customs classification, shipment value, packing, weight/volume and transport mode are needed for a freight/tax review. Customs values and descriptions must be accurate; no fixed tax rate or tax-free promise is published here.

Samples, tooling and order approval

Sample, development, tooling, artwork and courier charges are confirmed before any paid work or dispatch. Mould ownership, permitted use, storage and any refund/credit arrangement must be agreed separately; they are not automatically included or free.

An enquiry is not an accepted order. Before production, confirm the physical sample/specification, actual manufacturing/export/contract and receiving-payment entities, price, quantity, delivery basis, payment terms and approval. Freight forwarder or export-agent involvement does not automatically determine the contracting or payment recipient.
